Governer Pettus
Dear Sir: Pardon the liberty I take in this adressing you I am a Widow and offer my services to the confederate States as a Nurse I can furnish every thing I [want?] but have not got the means to go to Va if you will except me I am wiling to go for the War as for one year I am alone in the world and think it my dotey to go I have two Lady friends that are wiling to go if you as wiling to Send [us?] to you [1/2?] loan we will go amadately let me know as soon as possabel and am wiling to go any place you Send us if your answer this direct to the name below
